Pulp stone (tooth)

Pulp stone or denticles are nodular, calcified masses appearing in either or both in coronal and root portion of the pulp organ in teeth.
They are classified:
:A) On the basis of Structure
::1) True Denticles and
True denticles are formed by odontoblasts.
::2) False denticles
False denticles are formed by an accumulation of mineral around debris, often in a concentric manner.
:B) On the basis of Location
::1) Free:they are entirely surrounded by pulp tissue.
::2) Attached:they are partly fused with dentin.
::3) Embedded:they are entirely surrounded by dentin.
